Posted on May 17, 2022
Are you thinking of living in Longview, Texas, but aren’t sure where you should settle? In this episode of Level Up, I’m going to take you on a tour of three awesome neighborhoods in Longview that you’ll absolutely love and introduce you to an amazing real estate agent. We’ll look at each community’s location, amenities, and housing prices so you can choose the best area for your situation.
Chase Creek
We’re with my friend and realtor Heidi Hitt at the first neighborhood you’ll want to check out: Chase Creek. This community is located in Spring Hill off of Heritage Boulevard. It’s surrounded by tall beautiful pine trees and oak trees, wide streets, and a cozy feel.
One of the reasons people like living in this location is because of the close-knit neighbors and the fact that it’s a safe place for kids to play. The location is conveniently located 10 minutes in any direction to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. It’s located 15 minutes from downtown Longview and 30 minutes from the Gregg County Airport.
This area is also known for its school district. Spring Hill ISD is a highly rated public school with 2,074 students in grades K through 12. It was voted the #60 best school district in Texas out of hundreds of other school districts.
The average three to four-bedroom, single-family home in Chase Creek is roughly $555,000 to $995,000. If you were looking to rent in the area, it’s not happening in this market or this neighborhood. Hey everybody,
Ray Creek
The next neighborhood you should check out is the Ray Creek subdivision. If you’re looking for a newer home that’s priced affordably, this is the place you want to check out. There are a variety of new construction homes for sale in Longview, Texas, and it’s a great location on Judson Road, north of Loop 281.
Ray Creek offers easy access to dining and shopping. The cozy homes are on nice-sized home sites with 10X10 concrete patios. Neighborhood amenities include curb and gutter streets, city sewer and water, utilities, and access to the highly acclaimed Longview ISD. One of the reasons people like living in this location is because it’s on the outskirts of Longview—somewhat secluded but still close and convenient to everything. Additionally, the commute is 10 minutes from Downtown Longview.
This area is also known for its housing affordability. The homes here are mostly just a few years old and priced for medium household incomes. The average three-bedroom, single-family home is roughly $180,000 to $230,000, and homes range from 1,500 square feet. If you were looking to rent in this area, you can plan on spending $1,800 to $2,200 for a three-bedroom, single-family home.
Fairway Oaks
The next neighborhood we’re at is one you’re not going to want to miss: Fairway Oaks. Located on the Hawkins Parkway, Fairway Oaks is a neighborhood of homes offering an assortment of beautiful styles, varying sizes, and affordable prices to choose from.
Homes for sale range in square footage from around 2,100 square feet to over 5,600 square feet and in price from approximately $250,000 to $700,000. No matter what your wants or needs are, we’re confident that you will find your dream home in Fairway Oaks or in one of many other great Longview communities.
One of the reasons people like living in this location is because of the family-friendly neighborhood located at the intersection of three school districts: Spring Hill, Pine Tree, and Longview ISD. It’s also five minutes from the Longview Mall and other retailers and borders The Challenge at Oak Forest Country Club and Golf Course (where memberships are available but not required of residents).
